How much of a difference does the creative (your ad image) actually make when it comes to Facebook page like ads?
The Premise
This is what I believed from experience before running this experiment.
From my own experience, the main item that makes an ad successful is not the text you use, not fine-tuning your audience, not budget—but the image you use.
I decided to put this to the test by running 8 separate creatives under one campaign.
So, all the ad settings are identical - the only difference being the image used.
All of the images are good and relevant to the niche.
I also let them all run for a while and rack up over 100 page likes each.
In total, I spent $380.42 on this experiment.
Look at the huge differences above!
I have highlighted the most expensive ad in red and the cheapest in green.
The difference is massive and really shows how much of an effect the creative can have.
Don't focus on the actual costs here, but the difference, these were not well optimised ads but just something I threw together!
None of these are even good ads, they are all just stock images from shutterstock.
With your own unique ads you can do even better and the difference would be even more stark!
